"We do it so they feel hope for the power their people can attain."

That was what Emperor Dorrek had been told when he was a teenaged prince and found himself expected to take the first member of his imperial harem. One person of each people of the empire, on the idea that some day he would choose his consort from among them, would sire a child and heir upon them. It was his duty, and the people's they ruled would know they were close to power through the subject who might one day rule next to him.

The problem with it all was that Dorrek found the whole thing repugnant. Most of those given to his 'imperial consorts' were women, which was a problem for him. Which made every instance of these moments in the court tiring. Here he sat, upon his throne, awaiting the presentation of the newest offerings for his harem. He would have to choose one to take into his family, someone he would no doubt eventually send back to the others, trying not to feel disgusted by the whole process.

"You are before his Imperial Majesty, Emperor Dorrek-Vell. Kneel before his splendor and know you are close to greatness," his herald calls out to the assembled and Dorrek tried not to yawn.

"Well, that's true and I'm more than willing to give you that kind of treatment but... I am trained medically," Tighnari says with a bit of a mischievous smirk.

Medically? What does that even mean?

"Well, let's go test that then."

Well, he could have gone an actual medical route instead of them experimenting with an orgasm but he’s also not complaining if it helps secure himself.

“Mm of course.”

"Come, let us see," he says with a hand held out to his newest consort.

Tighnari reaches to accept his hand without hesitation, one of his ears flicking, the only sign of his nervousness as he follows the emperor.

The Emperor guides Tighnari away from the throne room, to a nearby door and through it. Time to head through the back halls to his secure room.

"How old are you, might I ask?"

[tighnauri]

"I'm 25," Tighnari answers as they make they're way out of the throne room. His ears flick, trying to catch every sound possible, his tail flicking behind him.

Ah, that's older than the Emperor was expecting. In fact, older than the Emperor himself. He takes them through a quiet door and keeps them going down another corridor with a few guards but little else.

"Older than many of my harem, if age is equivalent across space."

"Is that a problem?" Tighnari questions, his brow raising. His tail flicks behind him as he awaits that answer as they move along to somewhere with even the guards in sight he assumes.

"Why should i Be concerned by it? If you can serve the duties then you are what I need," he says dismissively as he finally takes them to a large door with a pair of guards. With a nod they open the door into the suite and the Emperor steps through, not even waiting for the consort.

"Some people care very much about age," Tighnari says and well, he supposes he's grateful that this one isn't one of those. His ears swivel, alert to every noise and he takes in the room as he follows the emperor. Along with the sights he takes in the scents as well before glancing at the Emperor again.

Well, he is an emperor. The usual rules rarely apply to him. Once they are fully in the room the doors are closed behind them. And it's so very large of a space. With a bed large enough for four or five people. There's couches and tables. There's a beautiful view out into space too, from massive windows out to the beautiful stars and spread of the universe beyond it. It's gorgeous.

"This will be our space for now."

[tighnauri]

"Fancy," Tighnari murmurs, glancing around the room and it makes him a little homesick for his little hut already but he squares his shoulders to focus on the moment and not anything else that might pry for his attention.

"Thank you."

"Surely an Emperor deserves no less than this. Or his consorts," Dorrek notes as he moves toward the bed.

"Shall I summon us food?"

[tighnauri]

“I suppose that’s true. I don’t know many emperors I must admit,” Tighnari says with a slight pull at the corner of his lips. His ears are briefly alert as he continues to take in the rooms sights smells and sounds.

“Will that help your headache?” tighnari teases, though he does tilt his head. “Sometimes the need to ear does give one headaches.”

"No, but I should truly take care of you. It is an expectation," he says with a smile.

Tighnari smiles. “Some bread and fruit perhaps?” Lighter fare.

He moves close to the emperor. “Do you want me to help with your headache in the meantime while we wait?”

That is easily done. He moves to a panel and types in some orders and then moves to start shedding some of his regalia.

"I believe that would be a welcome action.

Tighnari glances at the panel the other is working with and he doesn’t really understand it but he doesn’t need to at the moment either. Once the other had dressed down a bit, Tighnari comes close to him again.

“Sit on the bed for me then?”

Well, who is he to say no? Beyond the Emperor and the man who holds command on the consort now. He sits and tilts his head, watching the other intently.

A chance was clearly going to be given. How long of one really wasn’t clear.

Tighnari offers him a gentle smile as the other sits. He inhales quietly as he moves closer to him, standing between his thighs. Where the other had made an assumption that he had been talking sexually earlier he doesn't go that direction. Instead, skilled fingers reach up to his head, a gentle massage beginning, aiming for key spots that just the right pressure can alleviate discomfort.

"Let me know if anything helps."

Well now this was defying expectations, and not in a way that the emperor disapproved of. He really did have a headache, and while Skrull physiology was good at recovering from such things, certain pains really were inflicted upon themselves. So those fingers rubbing at his head were relaxing enough for him to close his eyes.

Tighnari smiles as he works gently, watching the other's facial expressions to note when he is doing the most help.

"Not what you expected, mm?"

"Not at all," he admits with a smile. But he can accept what he's getting. It works. "Please continue with your work."

"I can always entertain you in other ways once your headache is gone," Tighnari says softly, humming thoughtfully as he continues to massage, working over his scalp slowly then, all the way down to the back of his neck.
