If you don't talk about the stuff that's fucking you up, it couldbreakboth of you. He'd wanna know how you feel. Plus it's not like you don't want him to have any powers, you just want him to not fly offanddoshit on his own all the time, right?
You're an asskicking, shapeshifting alien prince-or-whatever. You're a superhero, you're smart, you're hot, you're an actual good guy. From TMI I've gotten from Billy you're greatinbed. So you've got a shitload to offer. And if you mean he's got a new team or whatever ... you've still got us.
Well that sucks. But it's not like it's new. Adultshavebeen telling us they know better than us since we started this shit, right? It doesn't change just because we're supposedly adults now.
He doesn't tell me details. Just that you're amazing and the best and all that. He was kind of drunk at the time.
[He should tell Tommy that maybe he won't even be here when Billy gets back. He doesn't know how long the guy will be gone. Maybe... he should go to the skrull.]
[He might not be, but some of the people they'd need to go get Billy are, so they'd get them first, so fucking Blade doesn't just try to taze anyone again.]
Yeah, sure. But still. Won't be long. I could just go run and check on him, too. If you want.
Tommy frowned and then shook his head. "No. But I can usually find him." He could ask Wanda, if he had to. She could almost always find them when she wanted to. Tommy didn't like to ask anyone in his weird ass family for favors often - it always felt like if he did, it might come back to bite him in the ass later. But if Teddy was this freaked out and if Billy had said something about kidnapping, then Tommy didn't mind doing it.
He started to say that and then stopped, some sense warning him. But when he recognized the sound of someone too-close and went to get up and race to confront them, he found that his legs went right back out from under him. An odd smell hit his nose. Gas his brain told him. Something that knocked him out, since he was fighting for consciousness already, saw Teddy starting to slump too. Tommy was super powered and had speed. Most gases like this didn't hit him at all, or if it did, it didn't last for longer than a few seconds. But he didn't feel anything coming back, breathing labored and strange. "Ted," he managed to say, apologetic and croaked. He was fast - he should have been faster than whatever the fuck this was.
As he started to black out, Tommy saw figures moving in, large and vaguely humanoid, but definitely not human, some kind of field of interference keeping Tommy from even making out their exact features. He was stopped from even trying as his eyes got too heavy to keep open and consciousness escaped him.
There isn't a lot that can be said with what comes next. Teddy wakes up, groggy and sore, and so confused. He'd been in his apartment with Tommy. They'd been talking. And then... A smell? It was weird. Gas attacks didn't tend to do much to Skrull, yet here he was, waking up in a strange place. Clearly he'd been knocked out.
It wasn't a very large place, and the walls and floor had that sterile, hospital feel. There were walls that might be some sort of glass, but mostly there as no getting through them, no matter how much Teddy pounded on them. Eventually he surrendered and after pacing the limits of their jail, he made his way to Tommy, reaching out to shake his shoulder.
There was one large, square bunk and Tommy was curled up on top of it, still unconscious. He was pale and his breathing was shallow but steady. Tommy still being out after this long, even just long enough for Teddy to have paced that much, was unheard of, but he didn't stir.
Even when Teddy came over to shake him, Tommy didn't react at first, body limp. But finally he started to blink awake, bleary and confused looking, eyes a little unfocused. "Teddy?" He said finally, thick-tongued sounding.
They'd been at Teddy's place, hadn't they? They were talking and then ... it came back to Tommy slowly and he bolted upright - slow by his standards, but fast enough that his head swam a little anyway. "Where are we?"
"Captured," Teddy answers, sitting on the edge of the bunk and putting a hand on Tommy's shoulder. "Can't punch my way out. Figured you could try blowing out a wall. But you clearly need to rest."
Clearly Teddy's body was recovering from the gas faster. Must be the Skrull biology. Bet their captors hadn't expected that.
Tommy groaned, leaning into Teddy. "I'm fine. Whatever shit they used must have been speedster graded." He still sounded a little slow for Tommy, but he was waking back up. "Gimme a minute and I'll go bust the wall and we can run for it. You get a look atwhere they took us? Pretty sure they weren't human, or at least didn't look it, I saw that before I passed out."
"No looks. I think I was out before you," Teddy sighs, fingers going through his hair. Fingers of his free hand, at least. His other hand? Still on Tommy.
Of course, aliens complicates things, doesn't it?
"I swear if I'd known I was going to get attacked by aliens, I wouldn't have invited you over. And I'm fine."
Tommy leaned into the touch, not really noticing how he pressed into the light contact. He snorted. "I didn't think you'd lure me into an alien trap, Ted. And if I knew aliens were coming for you, I'd have come over to try to help anyway."
He stood up finally, feeling a faint sense of unease that had nothing to do with being kidnapped by aliens and more to do with being out of Teddy's reach, though he couldn't pinpoint it.
"Ready?" he asked. He lifted his hands, concentrating on blowing the wall to hell ...
and just blew himself back across the room, landing almost against the opposite wall, on his ass, the explosion half absorbed by whatever the room was made of, and half rebounded onto Tommy, who looked more dazed than hurt. "Shit," he muttered, rubbing at his chest.
Tommy's head was swimming a bit and his joints ached. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't comfortable. He relaxed just an unnoticed fraction when Teddy's arm frowned on his shoulder. "FuckifIknow," he said, pushed together but half mumbled.
Whatever it was, they'd clearly built this place with the idea of keeping both of them in. Either that or it was just built to keep ANYONE in. Tommy didn't know which was worse.
He pushed himself to his feet, letting Teddy help him and then leaning up against him, taking a new look around with assessing eyes. There was no door he could see. There had to be a way the panels opened, unless they'd built the thing around them and then planned to just leave them to die. Tommy doubted it - way too much fucking trouble to get them for that. So there had to be a way they were going to get food and water in and out, maybe come in and out themselves. "Guess we wait. See how they come in, watch for weaknesses," he said quietly.
Not Tommy's favorite thing. Neither was being locked in anywhere. It wasn't something he'd ever wanted to be stuck doing again.
"Teleporter?" Teddy suggested, as if he knew part of where Tommy's thoughts had gone. And really, if things were all Star Trek'd in, then what were the chances that they could jump anyone? But it was important, was it not, to hold on to hop.
"Maybe they'll come talk to us now that we're awake? Now way they can't know, right?""
@zoomandboom
We're... not good at talking. And if he knew I felt this way, it could break him.

[And tied up by an Asgardian. It had been almost intimidating.]
And what do I have?

[Tommy gives him a disbelieving look.]

[And he winces at the 'prince or whatever'.]
Future King of Space. Or Emperor of the Skrull. And I'm not sure how comfortable I am hearing that Billy tells you about our bed stuff.

I just wish he was home again. I haven't seen him in a while.

[Tommy pokes at Teddy again with his toes, gently.]
But dude. You need to talk to him when he gets back about this shit. Because you're Teddy. You shouldn't be feeling like crap.

But... what if I don't see him for a while?
no subject
When he gets back. He's never gone for thatlongright? And if he takes too long - fuck it. We'll get a ride and go to space and get him.
no subject
I don't know when his people will bring him back to me. But thanks, for being here.
no subject
Yeah, sure. But still. Won't be long. I could just go run and check on him, too. If you want.

Or some sort of energy barrier in the wall? Dammit, how did they make so perfect a trap?"

there are literally no icons for this
The comics didn't cover "trying to genderswap for a partner who doesn't need it during sex pollen?"
Comics didn't cover Teddy as a girl
You don't say!
But they DO cover him as Thor and Mr. Fantastic and SpiderMan. Geez.
Priorities. Though I did like in Avac Academy when Teddy would walk around imitating Fury or Loki
